Whether your kid hates the taste of the medication, is not in a good state to take it as prescribed, or the dose is not ideal for the age/weight, our compounding pharmacy can customize your child’s medication to transform the experience into a more enjoyable one. We strive to understand your child’s needs in order to compound the medication that works just right for them.
Better-tasting formulations
We can alter the form of the medication so it is easier to administer to your kid:
- flavored liquids
- topical creams/ointments/gels/lotions
- suppositories
We can also change the flavor and color of the medication to make it more appealing to your child – fruits, bubblegum, marshmallow, and vanilla. Keep in mind that these changes do not alter the effectiveness of the medication.
Tailored dosage forms
Our compounding pharmacy can prepare a prescribed dose that is adequate for your child’s age and size, taking into consideration his or her unique circumstances. If your child has an allergic reaction or other complications when ingesting specific (inactive) ingredients that a normal prescription might contain, we can change out those ingredients and offer products that are one or more of the following:
- gluten-free
- sugar-free
- soy-free
- dye-free
- etc.
